  "note": "Serial Attached SCSI is a point-to-point serial interconnect and protocol family that carries SCSI command sets for enterprise disks and SSDs. Hosts and expanders form SAS domains; dual-port drives support multipath high availability. Link rates have scaled through generations commonly marketed as 3, 6, and 12 Gbit/s (and faster in later specs). Nearline HDD fleets and many enterprise SSDs still use SAS for dual-port and expander topologies that SATA does not match. SCSI zoning for host-managed SMR uses ZBC on SAS paths. SAS is about domain topology and SCSI semantics—not a recording technology.",
